We lucked in to finding Family First Funeral Services and especially Taleron. I lost both of my parents within a 12 day window in November and December of 2021. I was beyond grief stricken to say the least. I was afraid that I would have to have both my parents cremated because of the cost of a burial. When Taleron heard that my Dad who was a Vietnam Veteran and my Mom both wished to be buried Taleron literally bent over backwards to make that happen. This man was beyond patient, understanding and sympathetic in my time of need and I cannot thank him enough. Not only were my parents caskets of good quality and absolutely beautiful the way the funeral service itself was handled was beyond belief.
Taleron went out of his way to make sure my Dad was handled with the respect he deserved as a Veteran. Taleron also made it a point to hold off on services once he knew my Mom was so close to passing as well. I had to bury both of my parents and Taleron working with the Veteran's Administration made it to where my parents were buried in a double funeral. Not only would I recommend Family First Funeral Services to anyone I will forever sing their praises. Saying Thank you in no way can do justice to Taleron of Family First Funeral Services. Family First Funeral Service was a God-send to our family. Taleron helped us plan a beautiful service. The staff went above and beyond and they took excellent care of our Son. We will FOREVER be grateful for Family First Funeral Service.

My mom recently passed away. Her hospice recommended Family First Funeral Services for her aftercare. Her wishes were to be cremated. This was my first time losing someone so close to me. Taloren made the whole process easier for me. He was honest, patient, professional and nice. I can’t even tell you how thankful I am to him for giving my mom dignity and respect. I know this may sound strange, but I had forgotten to mention to the hospice that I wanted Mom’s chapstick, so I asked Taloren if he could try to get that for me and he did! You have no idea how much that meant to me. He is also very responsive with communication. I emailed him today with a question about Mom’s ashes, and he got back to me right away. I highly recommend Family First Funeral Services!

Absolutely blown away by the professionalism of Family First Funeral Services and their entire staff. Our celebration of life for my father was beautiful and couldn't have happened without their knowledge and experience and their respect for our family, in general. The staff here are absolutely amazing! The all around kindness was evident. Even though no one ever wants to need a funeral home the fact is we do and I couldn't have been more pleased with a place at the time of the absolute worst moments of my life thus far than I was with Family First Funeral Services. They even brought me my father's ashes in a temporary container until the urn was ready because they could sense I was distraught by the possible wait of a day or 2. Again, VERY AMAZING AND KIND. Recently my father in law passed away and we made many phone calls to plan his funeral. My husband and I were at a loss, for this was the first funeral planing we have ever done. Mr Govan answered all our questions and informed us with details that were involved that we didn't even think of, in my book going above and beyond. After meeting at the funeral home with Mr Govan and his employees, we immediately felt the caring, compassion, and the willingness to help us get through this difficult time. From the viewing to the church service and cemetery, everything was flawless and beautiful. I was so grateful to see my husband at ease through the entire process because losing a loved one is the hardest part. I can't even explain the compassion and the genuine concern for our family's needs when we lost our mother suddenly. Taloren and the staff are caring, and worked with all of the special requests our family had. We were lost on how to proceed but they there to walk us thru every step of the way. We knew then that our mother was in the best of hands. Thank you seems so mediocre compared to the care you showed us, but thank you from the bottom of our hearts. 5 stars just isn't enough! They really have their hearts in what they do & eased our burden as soon as we called them. Beautiful people with a warm & welcoming facility. High praise!!!
